Terms and Conditions

General
- All fees quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable at
the standard rate.
- Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Full fees are due two weeks prior to the published
course commencement date.
- Course fees quoted exclude any payments due to the
professional body for registration, exam entry etc.
- Fees are published per term and paying a deposit does
not prevent the person/employer incurring any fee increase.
- Dishonoured cheques will incurr a charge of £50 (inc.
VAT) to cover administration and bank charge. Persistent
offenders will be\ reported to the professional body for
unprofessional conduct.
- Any refunds to be made will be made by cheque and will
be payable to the original payer.
- Computer Based exam/assessment fees are non-refundable
or transferable.
- The Directors reserve the right to change the tutor or
course location without prior communication should the
circumstance arise.
- Student are required to keep their personal belongings
out of view when not in class. The college takes no
responsibility for lost or stolen items.
- Students are expected to conduct themselves in a polite
and respectful manner to both staff and fellow students. The
college will take serious a view of individuals whose
conduct is detrimental to this environment.
Full Time courses
- International students studying on a Student visa
are required to study 15 hours per week for a minimum of
12 weeks. This means a student must study a minimum of 3
papers on any of our ‘Full Time courses’ to meet the
number of hours required by the Home Office.
- Enrolment forms must be accompanied by either a) the
full fees or b) a deposit which will be 50% of the total
fees due.
- Full fees are due two weeks prior to the published
course commencement date. Where the course fees relate
to a Programme Package, any balances due are required
two weeks prior to the course commencement date of the
first course.
- Once letters have been issued no refund or course
cancellation is permitted other than in the instance of
visa refusal.
- In the instance of visa refusal, the amounts paid
(less any previous charges that may have been incurred),
will be refunded less an administrative charge of £100
(inc. VAT). Refunds will be made payable by cheque to
the name of the student (as this is the college’s
customer) unless written authorisation is given from the
student to make the payment to a third party. The
following documents are required to process a refund.
- A signed letter from the student confirming
course cancellation and request for a refund. This
letter must include the address of the person to
whom the cheque should be made payable. This letter
will only be aceppted by post or fax to authenticate
the signature.
- Copy of the visa refusal form (APP200)
- West End College London reserves the right
to terminate a student's enrolment for failure to fully
settle his or her courses fees, not arriving at all for
the course or unsatisfactory attendance.
- Where the attendance is unsatisfactory the college
is required to inform the necessary authorities at the
Home Office and where applicable local authorities
including establishments where students may gain any
form of concession.
- Students are required to sign the attendance sheet
when circulated in class. This is solely the
responsibility of the student as evidence that they have
attended, the college will not allow students to sign
once the lecture is over.
- Students transferring from the 5 month to the 3
month (or Resit) course will incurr a £20 charge on a
subject by subject basis to cover administration and any
new material that needs to be issued.
Part Time courses
- Completed enrolment forms must be accompanied by
either a deposit of £100 per subject (per course), the
full fee or completed employer authorisation.
- The college can only accept an employer
authorisation if the relevant section on the form is
completed in full including a signature by the
authorising manager. Payment terms for employers will be
30 days from the date of the invoice. The employer is
fully responsible for payments of amounts due in every
circumstance including course cancellation even in the
event of termination of employment.
- Employers may be sent the relevant student's test
results and attendance if requested.
- Course transfers and cancellations must be received
in writing at least two weeks prior to the course start
date. The college reserves the right to charge the
deposit element for transfers/cancellations if notice is
given two weeks prior to course commencement and the
full fee if less than two weeks notice is given.
Pass Assurance (Part time students only)
- For students to qualify they must enrol on and
attend a Tuition course and a Revision course for the
same subject.
- Course fees must have been paid in full, prior to
the exams.
- Students must have attempted at least one mock exam
and achieve a minimum mark of 25%.
- Students must have attempted the real exam and
achieve a minimum mark of 25%
- A minimum attendance of 85% overall for both the
tuition and revision courses will be required.
- In the event of failure the student will be entitled
to a 2 day revision course to be claimed by the 1 April
for the June exams and the 1 October for the December
exams. To claim this a new enrolment form must be
completed accompanied by their results form from the
Association.
