Terms & Conditions

  1. A  Registration Fee of £250 is required before a student will be issued with an Offer of Place Letter. The Registration fee is non-refundable. To gain an interview at the British High Commission ("BHC") you are required to obtain a Confirmation of Place Letter (a Full Acceptance Letter) and Accommodation Arrangement Letter, for which you will be required to pay a minimum deposit of £1,500 towards tuition fees and £360 accommodation deposit (only applicable to Overseas Students).
     

  2. In the event of visa refusal, a Student is required to contact West End College London ("WECL") and seek advice regarding (1) the transfer of the deposit and the fees to the next intake or (2) the refund of the tuition fees, under specific conditions listed below, to which West End College London will retain a one-time administrative fee of £250 to cover related costs. The College will require the original copy of the visa refusal letter issued by your BHC or British Embassy ("BE"), original Acceptance Letters and copy of passport with refusal stamp. Refunds will only be made under this paragraph if requested in writing with the necessary supporting documents within four weeks after the commencement of the course (published date).The refund process may take up to 60 days.
     

  3. The College will only refund the account or individual that it initially received the fees from. If the student wishes to authorise some one to collect the payment on his/her behalf College will require an authorisation letter and a valid ID from the authorised person.
     

  4. No refund will be given to a student for the following circumstances:
     

    1. Failure to return the original acceptance letters, original visa refusal letter and copy of passport with refusal stamp.
       

    2. In the event of cancellation due to a family bereavement or any other change in your personal circumstances. Students are advised to take out insurance against such unforeseen circumstances.
       

    3. If you are asked to leave the country by the United Kingdom Authorities or if you leave the UK during the programme period without consultation with or a covering letter from the College and are subsequently refused re-entry.
       

    4.  If the disruption in your studies is due to your conviction, court proceedings or a litigation involving you.
       

    5. If you have refused a UK Entry Clearance at British High Commission or British  Embassy  due to submission of any fake or forged documents.
       

    6. Where a student has obtained an Admission Letter from WECL and then decides not to follow his/her course.
       

    7. Transfer of fees to another student will be solely at the discretion of WECL. A minimum of £300 transfer fee will apply. This will also require BHC removal of visa.
       

    8. If student's appeal against decision of Refused UK Entry Clearance is in process and decision is pending.
       

  5. College bears no responsibility in such discontinuation or cancellation of programmes due to the actions of external agencies, course providers or an accrediting body. The responsibility of carrying out necessary research and ascertaining the nature or details of the Course Providers and their degrees and awards lies entirely on the prospective students.
     

  6. The College has adopted the concept of Equal Opportunity whole-heartedly; therefore it makes every effort to promote it in and out of its premises. The applications of students from any of the diverse backgrounds are treated equally and fairly. It is imperative that the applicants disclose their special needs clearly in the application so that the Admissions Office can examine the extent to which the College is physically capable of providing necessary support.
     

  7. By signing our Application Form you are giving West End College London the right to obtain you personal data relevant to WECL from the BHC you applied from.
     

  8. Students are required to maintain attendance throughout the duration of their course. WECL is obliged to apply Home Office rules and insist that a full-time course is a minimum of 15 hours of daytime study per week. WECL is required by the Home office to record your attendance and supply any and all details when requested by them or any other Law Enforcement agency in the UK.
     

  9. Failure to attend 4 consecutive weeks without written notice or justification to WECL will result in the emission of a first letter by WECL to remind the Student about WECL Attendance Policy and the Home Office rules. Failure to attend 8 consecutive weeks without written notice or justification will automatically result in dismissal from the WECL and forfeiture of any remaining fees.
     

  10. Overseas students who have been granted a student visa must comply with the Immigration Rules. Please note that WECL and WECL Staff Members have no jurisdiction to overrule these.
     

  11. The WECL Academic Board reserves the right to refuse admission to any student based on academic and professional assessments and the quality of their Application Form.
     

  12. We also reserve the right to suspend or dismiss any student without refund of fees in the event of serious misconduct or unsatisfactory attendance/progress.
     

  13. Failure to appear at the agreed starting date without written notice will mean forfeiture of fees and notifying the home office.
     

  14. West End College London reserves the right to change the times of the courses. The college prospectus is correct at the time of printing but is subject to alteration.
     

  15. All full time students are eligible for a place in a student residence. According to College allocation policy, highest priority is given to first year students, who live furthest from the College and who have no previous experience of living in London.
     

  16. The terms of this agreement shall be governed by the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts under English Law of all matters arising.
